Join Halfdays and Friends of Berthoud Pass at the Denver Flagship Store for an women's introduction to backcountry preparedness and avalanche awareness, designed to help you build a stronger foundation before heading beyond the resort.
Led by Friends of Berthoud Pass, the clinic will cover the fundamentals of backcountry travel, from preparing for a day in the mountains and dressing for changing conditions to building greater awareness and confidence beyond the resort.
After the clinic, stick around for a Sip + Shop from 7–7:30 PM with complimentary beverages + bites and an opportunity to try on the new Halfdays ski backcountry collection. All attendees will also be entered into a raffle for Halfdays gear and FOBP swag.
Gear Care Kits will be available with qualifying purchases, along with custom limited-edition hats.
No backcountry experience required. Just come curious.

The avalanche clinic is lecture based, please bring a listening ear along with paper and pen if you'd like to take notes.
The class will begin at 5:00 PM, we encourage you to arrive on time to take full advantage of the Friends of Berthoud Pass curriculum.
The clinic is approximately 2 hours long.
Friends of Berthoud Pass Classroom and On-Snow Sessions are NOT a replacement for an AIARE Level 1 Class. We hope our classes will inspire you to take an AIARE Level 1 class. For a list of upcoming AIARE Level 1 classes please visit the AIARE class list at avtraining.org
Yes! The Halfdays store will be open during the class and there will be a sip + shop after the course to shop our collection.
We're happy to welcome you solo, however, each ticket includes the option to bring a +1 as your shopping buddy. If you would like to bring a +1, please email us at shayley@halfdays.com in advance so that we can plan accordingly.
Please note that guests attending together will share a fitting room.
