- How warm is the Louise Down collection?
Very. The Louise Down Jacket is our warmest lifestyle puffer jacket yet, designed for cold-weather days from roughly 0°F–40°F. Lofty 700-fill-power down traps heat without adding unnecessary weight, while the wind-resistant shell, storm flap, elastic cuffs, adjustable hem, and removable hood help keep cold air out.
The Louise Down Vest delivers that same high-loft insulation through the core, with a recommended range of approximately 15°F–60°F depending on activity and layering.
- What does 700-fill down mean?
Fill power measures how much loft down can create for its weight. 700-fill-power down offers a strong warmth-to-weight ratio, meaning it can trap a lot of insulating air without needing to feel overly heavy or bulky. Louise uses RDS-certified duck down made from 80% down and 20% feather.
This means you get serious warmth, less bulk. Exactly what you want from a winter puffer.

The Louise Jacket is designed for roughly 0°F to 40°F, with 700-fill down for cold commutes, everyday cold weather wear, and chilly days out in nature. Louise comes in both a jacket and a vest, so you can choose full coverage or core warmth depending on the day.
Nellie is the travel-friendly option. Designed for roughly 30°F to 65°F, it uses PrimaLoft® synthetic insulation, packs down easily, and converts into a travel pillow. It’s a great standalone jacket for trips, travel days, and milder cold-weather wear. Nelly comes in a jacket-only and does not have a hood.
Claude is the most versatile technical layer. Designed for roughly 40°F to 80°F, it’s the lightest of the three and works well for active days, shoulder-season weather, or layering when temperatures shift. Claude comes in both a jacket and a vest, and the jacket includes a hood for a little more coverage in changing conditions.
- How should I layer Louise down?
Our Louise down jacket and vest have a relaxed fit designed to leave room for layers. On milder cold days, wear it over a base layer or lightweight knit. As temperatures drop, add fleece, merino, or a sweater underneath and use the adjustable hem, cuffs, hood, and storm flap to seal in warmth.
The vest is a transitional option, wear it over an active layer or fleece when you want core warmth with more airflow and freedom through the arms. Its higher collar adds extra protection around the neck.
