- HOW DO I CARE FOR GORE-TEX®?
Wash your GORE-TEX® regularly according to the garment care label to maintain its performance. Tumble dry after washing to help reactivate the water-repellent treatment, then tumble dry for an additional 20 minutes once the garment is dry. As a general guideline, wash around every five wears, depending on use. More product care details and recommendations from GORE-TEX® can be found here.
- ARE GORE-TEX® PRODUCTS WATERPROOF?
Yes. Our GORE-TEX® styles have a 28,000 mm waterproof rating and use a GORE-TEX laminate with an ePE membrane designed to provide durable waterproof, windproof, and breathable protection.
- WHAT’S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN 2-LAYER AND 3-LAYER GORE-TEX®?
3-layer GORE-TEX® bonds the outer fabric, waterproof membrane, and inner backer together into one shell construction. It’s designed for durable protection and versatility, without built-in insulation, so you can layer underneath based on the conditions.
2-layer GORE-TEX® bonds the outer fabric to the waterproof membrane and uses a separate lining. In our collection, the 2-layer styles pair GORE-TEX® protection with built-in insulation for added warmth.
- CAN I WEAR GORE-TEX® OFF THE MOUNTAIN?
Absolutely. While these styles are engineered for performance on the mountain, they’re designed to work beyond it too. Details like removable powder skirts and considered silhouettes make them easy to wear from ski days to cold-weather everyday use.
