Halfdays is hiring a Production Manager to oversee the full product life cycle of our snow, trail, and accessory categories from concept to final delivery. This individual will be responsible for setting and maintaining the seasonal calendar and driving forward the execution and logistics in order to achieve overall business objectives. They will actively participate in sourcing and cost engineering, ensuring that products maintain quality standards and deliver on our mission to make flattering and fashionable outdoor apparel for modern women.
Key Responsibilities:
Sourcing and Development:
- Partner with Design to develop, source and place programs on a seasonal basis, emphasizing quality and maintaining company IMU goals, identifying alternative solutions so garments meet cost requirements from initial launch thru final costing.
- Ensure a precise and accurate handover of tech packs and BOMs from design, within set deadlines and key calendar dates.
- Ensure that costing is accurate and up to date and aligns with the company’s IMU targets; create and maintain style profiles and costing information; request and follow up on costing for all styles in development.
- Responsible for building the development and Production WIP chart for all styles and materials per season; maintaining and updating as needed.
- Track samples for Design presentations, Wholesale market and Photo shoots.
- Attend all fittings, ensuring adherence to Development and Production calendars.
Production and QC:
- Assist in collecting time and action information from vendors and partner with Design and Tech to ensure adherence to the time and action calendar deadlines.
- Help with Vendor Onboarding, gathering vendor information for internal set up and reviewing the shipping manuals with the vendors. Communicate and enforce Halfdays’ production, quality, and delivery requirements with all suppliers. Measure key metrics such as vendor competency, QA adherence, on time delivery rates, on time launch rates.
- Follow up on delivery status for upcoming shipments and create priority ship breakdowns for any split shipments.
- Schedule and monitor in-line QC with our third party company.
- Monitor vendor work in process and shipping exception reports.
- Drive for continuous improvement and the most sustainable and efficient method of production while optimizing around high-paced product delivery demands.
- Alert senior management and cross functional partners on high-risk areas (QC, costing, product development, etc.), which may impact production.
Operations and Sustainability:
- Partner with VP of Ops to provide freight forwarder necessary documents for inbound shipments, following delivery through customs to our warehouses. Communicate delivery status with the broader team ensuring visibility.
- Creating ASN’s in our WMS ahead of production deliveries. Ensuring all packing lists are sent to 3PL.
- Maintaining Halfdays Stylemaster and ensuring all information is up to date and accurate
- Communicate with management regularly regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting development/pre-production; evaluate, manage, and mitigate potential risks to collection deadlines and new initiatives.
- Facilitate regular cross-functional team meetings with sales, marketing and design to troubleshoot and resolve development or quality issues.
- Work with Design Director and Technical Design at the end of each season on hindsighting cost, fit or construction challenges, optimizing for future reorders.
- Understand environmental regulations in the US and Europe, how they affect the business and what we need to do to be compliant.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Reports to Head of PD + Production to uphold product quality, industry-best practices and timelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, sales, CX, merchandising, planning and marketing, and ensure clear communication on project status and deadlines.
- Conduct international calls with vendors when needed.
- Develop strong relationships with strategic manufacturing partners and members of internal cross-functional departments.
- Bring a collaborative energy and actively participate in all weekly and milestone meetings to ensure strong communication and alignment on all ongoing development.
- Overseas travel for trade exhibitions, sourcing and to supervise product development and production.
Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of experience in Product development or Production of women’s outerwear, activewear (seamless, knit and woven), and ready-to-wear.
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- Strong cost negotiating skills combined with a detailed knowledge and understanding of garment construction and cost breakdown.
- Accountable, entrepreneurial, and proactive with a strong work ethic and can-do attitude.
- Must be tech-savvy; working with Microsoft Office, Acrobat, Google, Dropbox. Experience with Illustrator and Centric is a plus!
- Ability to work on both long-lead and speed-to-market developments; agile and efficient while remaining detail-oriented.
- Highly organized and able to productively self-manage workloads and prioritize top deliverables

Salary Range: $95,000-$115,000
Location: Denver, CO
